Bangladesh Journalists Unity Council (BJUC) celebrated its first anniversary and the beginning of its second year with a discussion meeting, cultural program and buffet dinner at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel 71 in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.
The event was held under the chairmanship of BJUC founding chairman and Dainik Swadesh Bichitra’s advisory editor Sabbir Ahmed Rony.
BJUC’s chief spokesperson and chairman of the anniversary celebration committee Khan Nazrul Islam Hannan inaugurated the event.
National Press Club General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest at the event.
Journalist, media personality and Channel i representative poet Raju Alim joined the event as a poet speaker.BJUC advisor Lion Md. Bashiruzzaman delivered the welcome address.
BJUC founding general secretary Md. Moktar Hossain moderated the event.Special guests included Mir Abdul Alim, General Secretary of Columnists Forum of Bangladesh and Permanent Member of National Press Club; Sheikh Ifaz Ahmed, Managing Director of NEN Group of Companies; Omar Faruk Jalal, General Secretary of Bangladesh Editors Forum; Ahmed Abu Zafar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh Provincial Journalists Forum; Kabi Ashok Dhar, General Secretary of Television Journalists Association of Bangladesh (TEZAB); Amer Alokit Samaj Chairman A.R.M.
