The BSF has repeatedly attempted to enter the Maheshpur border area, while the BGB,

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has made repeated attempts to forcibly push 17 individuals into Bangladesh through the border near Maheshpur in Jhenaidah, with five such efforts occurring over four days. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) reports that these attempts have been successfully prevented. According to sources from the Maheshpur 58 BGB battalion, the BSF first attempted a push-in through the Pakrail border on June 2, which was stopped by BGB personnel with assistance from local residents. Over the following four days, the BSF made four additional attempts, all of which were consistently blocked by the BGB. The BGB has stated that they are collaborating with local communities to counter these push-in efforts. Residents were informed in advance about the situation, and they have been highly cooperative and remain alert at all times. Rabiul Islam, a resident of the Jadavpur border area, commented, "The BGB is maintaining vigilance along the border to prevent push-ins. They are also working together with the community. So far, the BSF has tried multiple times to push people in, but each attempt has failed." Lieutenant Colonel Md. Rafiqul Alam, Company Commander of Maheshpur 58 BGB, added, "The BSF has attempted five push-ins over the last four days, all of which were thwarted by BGB members. Local residents have supported these efforts. We are confident that all such attempts will continue to be repelled." In Maheshpur, Jhenaidah, there is a 78-kilometer-long border with India. Of this stretch, 68 kilometers are secured with barbed wire fencing, while the remaining 10 kilometers remain unfenced. The open border areas are primarily located in the Nepa and Jadavpur regions of the upazila, where most push-in attempts are being made.
